Marius has more than 16 years of professional experience with focus on complex insolvency proceedings, creditor rights and asset recovery as well as complex tax disputes. In addition, Marius assists clients in disputes related to corporate reorganization, labor litigation, disputes related to loan facilities for real estate development projects or enforcement of lease agreements, as well as arising in connection with contractual relations governed by FIDIC rules.

  • complex restructuring process on behalf of a leading global bank which involved over 600 redundancies and numerous labor disputes
  • litigation on behalf of one of the most important developers in the real estate field to protect its title to property against challenges by public authorities
  • action on behalf of a major real estate developer and the owner of a class A office building in Bucharest to protect its rights to the land on which the building was constructed
  • litigation on behalf of a local shipyard subsidiary of a leading international shipbuilding group related to the title of the property on which the shipping yard is built
  • labor litigation on behalf of one of the major banks in Romania initiated by members of the management impacted by the reorganization of the bank
  • litigation cases on behalf of a company in the construction industry to contest fiscal authorities decisions related to an income duty of more than 3 million EUR
  • insolvency proceedings on behalf of the largest oilfield services group involving a successful implementation of the reorganization plan
  • international arbitration on behalf of the Contractor, a local civil and industrial construction maintenance company, concerning the fulfillment of the obligations under the FIDIC Red Book contract
