New Insights on Anti-fraud Control at TaxEU 2015
Our colleagues Alina Timofti (partner) and Adina Vizoli (tax director) from the NNDKP Tax Advisory team analyzed the novel elements of anti-fraud control at TaxEU, one of the most important local events on fiscal issues.
The discussion topics included changes in the Fiscal Code, new VAT elements (at both local and community level), accounting modifications, anti-fraud and anti-abuse measures and recent developments in the practice of fiscal inspections.
Summarizing the debated issues, Adina Vizoli stated that
“even though the establishment of the General Directorate for Fiscal Anti-fraud is a step forward in the fight against fiscal evasion and fraud, the measures taken in this direction also had repercussions on good-faith taxpayers.”
Alina Timofti and Adina Vizoli engaged the participants in discussions related to the practicalities of this new type of anti-fraud control and the interactions with the control teams, detailing topics such as general information on functioning and implementation, the attributions of the General Directorate for Fiscal Anti-fraud, rights and obligations in anti-fraud control and frequent issues arising in the anti-fraud activity during the first year of implementation (2014).
Organized by Evensys, one of the most significant event organizers on the Romanian market, the eighth TaxEU edition brought together over 40 speakers, including Public Finance Ministry officials and specialized tax and legal consultants representing the major companies in the field.
