Building bridges

In 1990, Ion and Manuela Nestor, both graduates of the University of Bucharest Law School, faced the challenges of Romania’s sudden onset of transition to market economy. They responded by creating the first law partnership in post-revolutionary Romania and were joined five years later by two American lawyers, Harvard graduates Andrew Kingston and Patricia Petersen.

This combination of outstanding intellectual and academic qualifications revealed a keen appreciation of business prospects. Thus, the firm became the prime mover in the representation of foreign investors in Romania, ahead of its time on the Romanian market.

In 2001, the firm further evolved through its merger with the firm of Ana Diculescu-Sova, who complemented NNDKP’s existing commercial practice with her highly respected and successful litigation team.

Instrumental in several of Romania’s landmark transactions, NNDKP has developed into a full-service law firm, world-wide recognized for providing timely, flexible and efficient solutions through effective and innovative legal work.

Chambers Europe, 2012 edition, says about NNDKP: “The firm is terrific: it has an exceptional ability to make things easier for you and tailor the advice according to your specific needs. The integrated legal and tax advice that we can obtain in a coherent manner from the same consultant is what makes the team unique in the market.”

Whether it is in our offices in Bucharest or those in Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca, Brasov or Craiova, our team of talented lawyers is constantly prepared to lend a hand and build a new bridge.
