We provided legal assistance to Bechtel Corporation, a premier engineering, construction and project management company, in relation to the re-negotiation of the contract concluded with the Romanian National Company for Motorways and National Roads for the 425 km Brasov-Bors motorway construction project and we provided day-to-day assistance in the implementation of the contract.
We assist the consortium including construction companies Bilfinger Berger BOT Europe GmbH and Porr Solutions Immobilien-und Infrastrukturprojekte GmbH throughout the tendering procedure for the award of the design, finance, construction, operation and maintenance of the Comarnic-Brasov motorway.
We assisted with the structuring and negotiation of the Casa Radio public-private partnership project between the Romanian state and a private investor for the purpose of rehabilitating an abandoned building structure located in central Bucharest and developing the related brown-field area of approximately 91,000 sqm.
We provide legal assistance on behalf of Nabucco Company Pipeline Study and Transgaz S.A., in connection with a five-nation project to construct and operate a natural gas pipeline linking production areas in the Caspian Sea and Middle East regions to Central and Western Europe.
We assisted two potential investors (Strabag AG, Ashtrom International – Roichman Bros. Infrastructures), acting separately, in structuring public-private partnership contractual relationships with the Romanian State for the purpose of the construction/upgrade, operation and maintenance of road infrastructure in Romania (Bucharest-Ploiesti and Predeal-Cristianu Mare motorways, respectively). We provided advice on Romanian law with respect to the tendering procedure, expropriation, permits and authorizations, utilities and road administration and assistance in the preparation of the documentation necessary to achieve commercial and financial closure.
