Our Data Protection practice has emerged during the past years as a result of the increased attention paid by public authorities and individuals to privacy related matters and, implicitly, the increased need of our clients to ensure compliance with privacy related requirements.

NNDKP has extensive experience in advising clients on all data protection matters, including in respect of compliance with specific data protection requirements applicable to clients' core businesses, marketing or employment activities, database sharing and data protection implications of business transfers, projects and mergers, both national and cross-border.

We also advised clients on the implications of regulations issued by the National Authority for the Supervision of Personal Data Processing and assisted clients in discussions carried out with this authority’s representatives in view of clarifying the implications of said regulations.

We assisted clients in completing notification processes before the Romanian data protection authority in respect of both local and international data processing operations.

The Data Protection practice is coordinated by Senior Associate Roxana Ionescu, who has extensive experience in all data protection matters, and who coordinates a team of three lawyers experienced in various aspects of the data protection field.
