Intellectual property – prosecution

• We assist and represent clients in administrative oppositions and appeals before the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks in matters concerning trademarks, designs and patents (recent clients include Philip Morris, Total France, Heineken, Unilever, Ford Motors Company, McGraw-Hill, Hearst, Sandoz).
• We provide assistance to and represent clients in trademark, copyright, patent and designation of origin litigation matters (examples of clients include Gulf Petroleum International, Yellow Pages, Sandoz, Unilever, Elite Industries, Kraft Foods, Pepsico).
• We represent clients in pursuing trademark infringement, trademark annulment and revocation matters, copyright infringement and enforcement, as well as design annulment and infringement matters (examples of clients include Vodafone, Colgate-Palmolive, Total France, OBI, Heineken, Microfibres, Microsoft).
• We provide assistance to clients by defending them against patent infringement claims, as well as pursuing annulment and revocation of patents and SPCs (examples of clients include Sandoz, Zentiva).
• We provide expert opinions in cross-border and national intellectual property litigations (such as a collective copyright infringement action against Twentieth Century Fox, News Corporation et. al, in the US District Court SDNY).

Intellectual property – contentious

• We assist clients in structuring and protecting their local and Community intellectual property portfolio; developing national, international and European filing strategies; conducting patent, trademark and design searches; drafting, registration, validation, filing and renewal of patents; computer assisted administration of IP portfolios (recent clients include Philip Morris, Kraft Foods, Microsoft, Total France, Heineken, Unilever, Limited Brands/Victoria’s Secret, Ford Motors Company, Playboy, Wrigley Jr., McGraw-Hill, Hearst, Sandoz).

Intellectual property – transactional and strategy

• We advise national and multinational corporations, small businesses and non-profit entities, including universities and individuals, in intellectual property transactions, with a focus on licensing, development, distribution and services agreements concerning pharmaceutical, computer software and hardware, energy and FMCG industries, technology patent and know-how licensing, multi-media and publishing and intellectual property aspects of corporate acquisitions.
• We advised Aegis in the acquisition of one of the leaders on the local media and advertising market.
• We advised Unilever in the acquisition of one of the leaders on the local icecream market.
• We advised Ringier in the acquisition of the largest local news web based portal.
• We advised Microsoft in acquiring a local software and databases developer as part of a complex cross-border transaction.
• We advised a major pharmaceutical distributor in restructuring its intellectual property portfolio and develop an in-house IP strategy.
